2018 Recipient(s)

  • Dr. Srdjan Nešić

    Dr. Srdjan Nešić, FNACE

Dr. Nešić’s contributions are in the area of oil and gas corrosion, primarily upstream but also downstream, where he has clarified the effects of CO2 and H2S on the corrosion of pipeline steel. His models are being widely used to predict corrosion under a range of conditions. He also leads a large industrial consortium and advises a large number of graduate students who have moved on to positions of leadership in the oil and gas corrosion field.

He has been a professor of chemical engineering and director of the Institute for Corrosion and Multiphase Technology at Ohio University (OU) since 2002. Prior to joining OU, he spent five years as senior lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia, and before that he was principal research scientist, Institute for Energy Technology, Kjeller, Norway.

Dr. Srdjan Nešić is with Ohio University, Athens, Ohio, USA.
