Corrosion Mitigation Advances in the Heart of Texas

Did you know that billions of dollars are spent each year on corrosion mitigation and repair on oil and gas facilities, pipelines and other infrastructure assets? To address this issue, NACE International and the NACE Central Texas Section will host the 2017 Central Area Conference, August 7 to 9 in Austin, Texas. This event features unique educational presentations, forums, and the latest advancements in corrosion products on the exhibit hall floor.

The technical program is now available online and features the following highlights:

  • • Panel Discussion: Best Practices for Preventing and Repairing Corrosion of Bridge Structures
  • • Corrosion Assessment of Cellular Tower Guy Anchorages
  • • The Case Against Galvanized Piping in Domestic Water Systems
  • • Case study: Corrosion mitigation of oil transmission pipeline with a Multi-phase flow

Attendees will also hear important news and updates from NACE International, including information about updates to the certification and exam process and the new IMPACT Plus program.

Networking opportunities include a backyard cookout and armadillo racing at Banger's Sausage House & Beer Garden, for a taste of the Texas Hill Country and a chance to mingle with other conference attendees in a laid-back setting.
