NACE’s Award Committee is looking for individuals to be part of the T.J. Hull Award Subcommittee. Please, read below information to make sure you are aware of the role and also meet the requirements.

About the Award:

The Tenny J. Hull Award is given in recognition of an outstanding contribution to NACE in the field of publications. The contribution must have resulted in greatly furthering the objectives of NACE to disseminate corrosion information in an effective and timely manner. Contributions may include the publication of a classical paper on corrosion science or engineering in one of the Association’s journals; the writing and/or editing of a reference book in an area where corrosion information is lacking; innovative ideas that result in the substantial improvement of present NACE publications.
Service on the Subcommittee
:
Subcommittee members are expected to read/review each nomination that is received and rank nominations in a timely fashion with the deadlines as established by the subcommittee chair. 
The subcommittee work is done electronically (emails) however; under extenuating circumstances a conference call may be necessary. 
The position on the subcommittee is for a three year term.  The subcommittee work begins in July and will wrap up by October of each year. 
Expected commitment time each year can vary, as it depends on the number of nominations received, which would be in a range of 5-15 hours/year.

 Requirements:

  • Membership on the subcommittees is not restricted to members of the Awards Committee but shall be NACE members in good standing and, preferably, should be a recipient of the relevant NACE awards.
  • Good organization skills.
  • Attachment of your resume to the application.
