Description:

We are recruiting volunteers to moderate as Chair a Technical Track for the during SSPC legacy Coatings+ Conference. The  Technical Track is focused on educating coatings professionals on the innovative programs, products, and resources offered by the leading companies meeting the worldwide demand in asset protection.

Description:

A track Chair mediates the session and is responsible for arriving early, kicking off the track by introducing the speakers, running the clock, helping to conduct questions from the audience and discussion, ending the session, and helping to resolve any issues with the speakers or audience. In case the Chair is unable to fulfill their duty on site, a back up Chair will automatically fulfill the chair’s duty. Please, indicate in the form if you would like to be a back up (on call) during the event

Instructions:
On the application form, please pick your top three preferences, from the 22 topics available. The topics will be assigned based on a first come first serve basis, therefore, your top choice may already be assigned to another volunteer.  

In some instances, depending on the demand, you may be assigned to a different topic from the three main ones you have chosen.

Time commitment: It can vary from 1.5-4 hours depending on the topic chosen (see application form for time slots)
Qualifications: It is preferred that you are a subject matter expert in the track topic you choose, however it is not mandatory.

Requirements:

  • Track Chairs (including back up Chairs) should be registered for the conference.
  • All the selected volunteers must attend the Track Chair Training Webinar hosted by AMPP staff later this Fall, prior to the conference. (Date TBD. )
  • Abide by the AMPP Code of Professional Conduct.
