NACE International Houston Training Facility Reopens May 31

Dear Members,
We are pleased to announce that, after extensively cleaning our facilities and employing safety precautions recommended by the WHO and CDC in the US, our Houston Training Center will reopen at limited capacity beginning Sunday, May 31. Additionally, many of our face to face classes outside of Houston will be resuming as well. We have requested that each of the facilities we use follow our safety guidelines in conjunction with local and state guidelines. Where needed, additional supplies will be sent to ensure all classes have everything required.

Student and instructor safety are our top priority. With that in mind, we have taken, and will continue to take, precautionary measures* wherever NACE training is offered. Some of those steps include limiting our class sizes to allow more space in the classroom and arranging rooms to facilitate social distancing. Everyone will be required to follow recommended social distancing practices and encouraged to wear a face covering when inside the training facilities (masks will be provided for each student or they may bring their own if preferred). When more than one class is taking place in a facility, class arrival, lunches, and break times will be staggered to limit exposure. Hand sanitizer stations will be available in common areas and individual hand sanitizers will be provided for each student. Instruments and workstations will be cleaned throughout the day, and classrooms will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized each evening.

In keeping with our previous practices, students who become ill before the start or during a class will be asked to transfer to a future class.

If you are unable to attend face to face classes online options are available. Please contact NACE First Service at 281-228-6223, or visit https://www.nace.org/education/courses-by-program to learn more.

We hope you and your loved ones have been healthy and safe throughout this global pandemic. Our staff and instructors look forward to welcoming students back to the classroom to obtain a high-quality professional corrosion control education.

Sincerely,
Pam Nicoletti
Director, Education

*We have developed rigorous daily cleaning procedures which will be strictly adhered to in our Houston Training Center. More information about our safety and cleaning protocols can be found here.
