On Saturday, March 14, NACE International’s Board of Directors voted unanimously in favor of the resolution to approve the proposed combination of NACE and SSPC. Following the board’s vote, the next step toward combining the organizations is a member vote by the full memberships of both NACE and SSPC, which will be held online from April 3-17, 2020.
NACE will hold two virtual town hall meetings next week to provide members with information about the proposed combination, solicit feedback and answer questions. NACE International Vice President, Tim Bieri will present an overview of the proposed combination with Terry Greenfield, NACE CEO Bob Chalker, SSPC Executive Director Bill Worms. Other members of the NACE-SSPC Task Group will be present to answer questions and provide additional perspective.
Participation in town halls is free and open to all NACE and SSPC members. The Town Hall meeting schedule is as follows. Please click the link to register for the session of your choice:
Town Hall #3 - Thursday, March 26 at 9 p.m. CST
Town Hall #4 - Friday, March 27 at 8 a.m. CST
Members are welcome to actively engage during these meetings and pose any questions or share any comments they may have.

Following is a timeline of upcoming discussion-related milestones.
March 26 - NACE Online Town Hall #3 - 9:00 p.m. CST
March 27 - NACE Online Town Hall #4 - 8:00 a.m. CST
April 3 - 17 - Proposed member votes for NACE and SSPC
