c19-logo.pngFrom March 24-28, 2019 NACE International, the nonprofit association and leading resource for corrosion expertise and education, will welcome more than 6,000 attendees from 64 countries to Nashville, Tennessee for the world’s largest corrosion conference and expo.

NACE’s flagship five-day event is known worldwide as the industry’s “can’t-miss” opportunity to meet with and hear from influential corrosion professionals, announce new technical information, and release new products. CORROSION offers something for every industry sector and job level involved in corrosion prevention with numerous industry-specific and technology tracks and more than 400 exhibiting companies.

At CORROSION 2019 the association will host programming vital to the entire corrosion-fighting continuum: scientists and researchers, engineers and technicians, coatings inspectors and contractors, students and business executives — all focused on the study, prevention, and control of corrosion.

Special features at CORROSION 2019 include:

  • 3,000 Square Feet of Immersive Learning in Coatings and Cathodic Protection: New for CORROSION 2019, the Coatings Experience features hands-on learning where attendees can visit actual coatings inspection site simulator and learn the ins and outs of application, surface preparation, inspection plans, and coatings. Those interested in cathodic protection can try the Cathodic Protection Test Field, where industry experts will assist visitors with tools and technologies used in cathodic protection.
  • Focus on the Future: This year’s keynote speaker, futurist Jack Uldrich, will deliver provocative new perspective on competitive advantage, change management and transformational leadership.
  • Leadership skills development: A new forum at CORROSION 2019 will deliver insights on how businesses can increase collaboration among industry newcomers and experienced pros. An international panel of industry leaders will share their viewpoints on important leadership skills for the corrosion workforce, including real-world examples from businesses large and small. Following the forum, Engineers Without Borders USA (EWB-USA) executive director, Cathy Leslie, will keynote an exclusive luncheon where she will share team-building and leadership development strategies employed by EWB-USA's 16,800 skilled volunteers.
  • Protective Coatings Workshop: Debuting in the expo hall, the Protective Coatings Workshop is an interactive feature for learning best practices, new techniques and emerging technologies in the coatings industry. Attendees will learn from industry experts and coatings manufacturers and can practice their skills and earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and/or Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
