DESCRIPTION
This certification is geared towards persons involved with coatings projects—inspectors, applicators, blasters, manufacturers, owners' representatives, specifiers, and technical salesmen or anyone interested in the overall quality of work in industry. This certification is designed to (1) be a quality assurance program for the coatings industry, (2) set easy-to-measure standards for knowledge and skills expectations of employees, and (3) improve the overall credibility and stature of the coatings industry worldwide.

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
With this level of certification, a person has demonstrated experience in practical environments to a panel of peers when faced with coatings related scenarios. This individual possesses the knowledge and can perform the tasks of individuals certified at Levels 1 and 2. Furthermore, this certification qualifies a person to supervise individuals who are NACE Coating Inspector Level 1-Certified and NACE Coating Inspector Level 2-Certified.

REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE CERTIFICATION
To achieve this recognition, qualified individuals (those who have completed CIP Level 1 and CIP Level 2) must successfully complete the Peer Review.

RENEWAL REQUIREMENTS
It is necessary to update this certification every three (3) years.
