Student Poster Session
Sponsored by the NACE International Research Committee

NACE will host the annual Student Poster Session during CORROSION 2008 Conference & Expo, March 16-20, 2008, in New Orleans, Louisiana. $3,000 in total prize money will be awarded, as well as conference travel assistance and NACE Foundation scholarship opportunities.

Posters will be judged on content, scientific approach, potential impact on the corrosion community, novelty of approach, and presentation. Prizes are awarded in three categories - The Mars Fontana Prize for the best posters in Corrosion Engineering, the Marcel Pourbaix Prize for the best posters in Corrosion Science, and the Harvey Herro Prize for the best poster in Applied Corrosion Technology. Prize awards are $500 for first place, $300 for second place, and $200 for third place in each category.

In addition, poster session participants will receive:

• Free one year student membership to NACE International—with access to Materials Performance magazine and CORROSION journal
• Free CORROSION 2008 Conference & Expo registration
• Travel assistance from NACE regions and sections to attend conference
• NACE Foundation financial assistance opportunities
