What support does NACE International headquarters offer Section/Area/Region WebMasters?
- NACE International headquarters offers two levels of support to Section/Area/Region WebMasters depending on whether the Section/Area/Region maintains a Web site which is
hosted on a NACE International headquarters server (internal NACE Web sites) or the Section/Area/Region maintains a Web site which is hosted by an ISP on a server external
to NACE International headquarters (external NACE Web sites).
What is an internal NACE Web site?
- An internal NACE Web site is hosted on one of the NACE International headquarters servers. NACE headquarters provides web applications
that allow Section/Area/Region WebMasters to add blocks of text to their Section/Area/Region News and Activities page and events to a Calendar of Events page.

What is an external NACE Web site?
- An external NACE Web site is hosted by an ISP on a server external to NACE International headquarters. The NACE International headquarters Web site will provide a link to the external Web site as well as maintain a page on the NACE headquarters Web site listing all of the Section/Area/Region officers for that unit. All NACE-affiliated external Web sites must use a standard home page provided by NACE International headquarters. E-mail
to request a copy of the standard home page.
How do I update my section's information on the NACE Web site?
How do I register as a Section/Area/Region WebMaster?
- The chair for the Section/Area/Region must e-mail the NACE International headquarters WebMaster at
and request that you be registered as the Section/Area/Region WebMaster. The chair must include your member number, your e-mail address, the name of the Section/Area/Region, and whether you will be using an internal or external NACE Web site. If you will be using an external NACE Web site, then the chair must provide the link to the external Web site as well.

Can I make changes to the home page supplied by NACE headquarters for NACE external Web sites?
- The Section/Area/Region WebMaster may update the meta tags on the headquarters supplied home page. This is the only portion of the page which can be modified.
How can I force a hard return at the end of the line in the text boxes provided on NACE internal pages?
- In order to force a hard return, please insert (HARD RETURN) in the internal NACE text box where you wish to see a hard return.
Hard return must be in all caps and enclosed in parentheses.
