Protective Coatings Specialist Certification
DESCRIPTION
This certification is geared toward individuals who are experienced, knowledgeable and capable of performing work at an advanced level in both the theory and practice of corrosion prevention and control, and who are capable of performing work at an advanced level in the protective coatings field.
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
12 years coatings work
OR
8 years coatings work experience if candidate has SSPC Coatings Certification, NACE Coating inspector certification or Frozio certification.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
An application must be submitted prior to sitting for the exam to allow time for verification of information provided on application. The application must be approved by the Applications Review Board.
REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE CERTIFICATION
Successful completion of the Protective Coating Specialist Exam.

RECERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Every three (3) years. Recertification requires a minimum of 1.5 years work experience in the protective coatings industry and 20 hours per year (60 hrs total) of professional development hours.
