2-Hour Oral Examination
(To Obtain: NACE Certified Coating Inspector-Level 3)
| Description The CIP Peer Review is a detailed oral examination in front of a three member-review board that lasts approximately 2 hours and is graded on a pass/fail basis. The Peer Review includes a series of questions to test the candidate?s practical and theoretical knowledge of coatings and coating inspection. Candidates are questioned from a random draw of topics ranging from standards, procedures, ethics, coatings use, inspection instruments, role-playing, and specific case questions. Successful completion of the CIP Peer Review is required to achieve recognition as a NACE Certified Coating Inspector - Level 3 individual. |
| Who Should Attend Anyone wanting to complete his or her CIP training to become a NACE Certified Coating Inspector - Level 3 individual. |
| Prerequisites Students who have successfully completed CIP Level 2 and have two years of verifiable coatings-related work experience may register for the Peer Review. Work Experience documentation forms must be submitted to NACE via fax at 281-228-6344 or via e-mail at least 60 days prior to the Peer Review. These forms are located in the CIP Student Manuals or download now. |
| Requirements A photo ID will be required when attending Peer Review. |
