California Polytechnic State University Student Section

NACE International welcomes its newest student section: California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

The new section formed with the support of the NACE Channel Islands Section, including help from section trustee Chuck Benesch and chairman Gregory Owens. According to student chairman, Sean Quigley, "We are excited to use our chapter to spread awareness on campus, specifically in the colleges of Engineering and Architecture, on corrosion related issues, prevention methods, and related career paths, while offering students the chance to become NACE members themselves. The starting of this section was largely a product of great positive response and interest from the student body in forming such a club on campus.  We hope to keep this interest alive through club meetings, industry guest speakers, and corrosion related field trips. We are excited to be involved members of the growing NACE community."
