DESCRIPTION
This certification is geared towards personnel with little experience but who possess some basic knowledge of corrosion and corrosion control, are capable of performing routine, but well-defined work under the close direction of Specialist or Senior Technologist personnel.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Two years verifiable corrosion related work experience

REQUIREMENTS NECESSARY TO ACHIEVE CERTIFICATION
To achieve this certification, qualified individuals have two options:

CLASSROOM TRAINING - NACE Basic Corrosion
or
EXAM ONLY OPTION

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
An application must be submitted prior to taking the examination only option to allow time for NACE to verify work experience requirements. If seeking certification through the parallel path option, an application may be submitted upon successful completion of the required NACE course, for verification of work experience requirements. RECERTIFICATION FEES

RECERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Every three (3) years. Recertification requires a minimum of 1.5 years work experience in the corrosion industry and 8 hours per year (24 hrs total) of professional development hours.
