NACE International Partners with DOD to Become Primary Source for Outside Corrosion Informational Services and Educational Programs

As part of this effort, NACE International is working closely with the Corrosion Control Policy Office headed by Dan Dunmire to provide necessary training for DoD, NASA, and Coast Guard Personnel. NACE will be providing 8 dedicated Cathodic Protection (CP) courses over the next year to DoD that will train about 200 students total. NACE will also be training 40 DoD personnel through Level 1 of the NACE Coating Inspector Program (CIP).

Additionally, NACE will be working with the DoD to develop a number of new courses to address their needs. These new courses will cover marine cathodic protection and the impact of corrosion on water and wastewater facilities. In total NACE will train over 300 DoD personnel in the latest corrosion control and prevention techniques in the next year.
